LexSet was spun out Intellectual Venture's Invention Science Fund and given an exclusive license to a large set of patents around context recognition and spatial search.
Intellectual Ventures is one of the top-five owners of U.S. patents, as of 2011. They've filed more than 3,000 patents and acquired 70,000 more over the last 10 years, surpassing the numbers of Google, Toyota or Boeing.
